olive trees for a couple from berlin

A couple from Berlin had an idea and could not find anyone willing to build it. It involved olive trees. Several workshops had turned them down before the request reached us.

We said yes. Not because it was easy, but because requests like this are the reason we run this workshop.

Olive wood is stubborn. It grows slowly, twists as it dries, and rarely has a straight grain. Finding a root of usable size often takes longer than the work itself. One such root later became Jörð ỳljunal, a coffee table measuring two metres forty-five across.
